Gina Raimondo, a Rhode Island businesswoman and community leader, today entered the race for the Democratic nomination for General Treasurer of Rhode Island.
Raimondo is launching a campaign to become the next general treasurer of Rhode Island. The 38-year-old resident of Providence on Thursday became the second Democrat to seek the nomination for the seat, which will be vacant when Democrat Frank T. Caprio leaves the treasurer’s office to run for governor.
