Becomes the 14th labor organization to back her for governor
PROVIDENCE – The Executive Board of the International Painters and Allied Trades District Council 11 have voted to endorse Gina for governor. They are the 14th labor organization to back her campaign. Representing members of the Painters Local 195 and Glaziers Local 1333, they sent a letter explaining that they are backing Gina “based on her clear support for the working families of Rhode Island.”
“Gina understands how important a good job is for Rhode Island families and she will be a governor who gets people back to work,” said Business Representative Scott Duhamel. “We are supporting Gina as a leader who will stand up for the middle class and grow our economy in a way that benefits everyone. We look forward to helping her win this November.”
“I appreciate the support of the IUPAT District Council 11,” said Gina. “We have the third highest unemployment rate in the country and too many families are struggling. This upcoming election is critical. We have to invest in job creation in order rebuild Rhode Island. That’s why I’m running for governor and I’m honored that so many labor groups have put their confidence in me to turn around this economy.”
