SCITUATE – Last night the Scituate Democratic Town Committee voted to endorse Gina Raimondo for governor citing her proven leadership and track record of solving big challenges. They are the first Democratic Town Committee to have endorsed Gina in the Democratic Primary.
"The Scituate Democratic Town committee is proud to endorse Gina for governor," said Chairwoman Carol Costa. "Our members are so impressed with her detailed ideas for growing our economy and creating jobs, her courage in being willing to take on the gun lobby and pass commonsense gun reforms and her commitment to improving public education for all of our kids. Gina is exactly the kind of leader we need to bring people together to move our state forward."
"Thank you to the Scituate Democrats for their endorsement; I really appreciate having their support,” said Gina. "Together we can work to improve our schools, make our neighborhoods safer and help get our friends and neighbors back to work."
Gina has now been endorsed by EMILY's List, Lt. Gov Elizabeth Roberts, Senator Donna Nesselbush, Representative Grace Diaz, Representative Anastasia Williams, Providence Councilman Luis Aponte, Providence Councilman Davian Sanchez, Providence Councilwoman Sabina Matos, and the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 51.
