Studies say that climate change will impact Rhode Island in a big way. With over 400 miles of coastline, rising oceans and warmer waters could have a devastating impact on coastal towns and the fishing and tourism industries while our farmers may have to deal with increased droughts, more severe storms and extreme seasons.
Last week, the United Steelworkers Local 12431 voted to endorse Gina for governor. Representing the gas workers at National Grid, they are now the eighth union to back Gina. They have over 280 members.
The Sheet Metal Workers International Association Local Union No. 17 is the seventh labor organization to endorse Gina for governor. Gina continues to receive widespread backing from working families across Rhode Island.
